Welcome to the Westville Public Library website. The Library is a valuable community resource center, providing excellent services including reading materials, ebooks and audio books, online resources, programming, etc. as we continue to adapt to the public’s ever-changing needs and technologies. Please be courteous! If you sign up for a program and are unable to attend, call the Library and let us know.  Most programs have limited seating.  Also notify the Library if your child is allergic to any foods so refreshments can be adjusted accordingly.

Afternoon Movie Matinee: Wednesday February 1, 2:00 pm
The movie will begin at 2 PM on Wednesday, February 1, 2016.

"Mr. Church" (starring Eddie Murphy in a dramatic role) tells the story of a unique friendship that develops when a little girl and her dying mother retain the services of a talented cook - Henry Joseph Church. What begins as a six month arrangement instead spans into fifteen years and creates a family bond that lasts forever.

Afternoon Movie Matinees are for adults 18+. Light refreshments served.  Movie starts at 2:00 pm.  Reservations required. Please call the library to reserve your seat at 267-3170.
The Library has many movies, TV Series, and documentaries available to borrow!  Loan period is 1 week, items may be renewed.
Bad Art Day: Saturday, February 11, 10:00 am
Create something dreadful....and win!  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Supplies will be provided.  Art will be hung in the library and will be available for judging by patrons.  Categories are:  The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!
Library Book Sale: To Be Announced
Friday, October 21: 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
Saturday, October 22: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

Lots of Bargains!  Our book sales are in the building directly behind the Library. 
Simply follow the sidewalk on the north side of the building around to the back.
Knit & Crochet Club: Third Monday of the Month 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Knit and Crochet Club will meet the third Monday of the month at Westville Public Library. Next meeting December 19, 2016.

Join the Knit and Crochet Club - bring what you are working on, or start a new project! Join us for the opportunity to share your projects and great conversation.

The Library also has a selection of craft books available for check out!
 

Robert G. Biage Memorial Chess Club: on hiatus until further notice
The Chess Club is geared for any skill level from beginner to expert. 

We are looking for new members as well as a volunteer to run the club!
Come to play chess - be sure to bring a friend! Tournament style chess boards and pieces are available to use in the library, as well as two timers. 
If you need to polish up your game or want to learn, be sure to check out our chess books!
IHLS We are a member of the Illinois Heartland Library System, which allows us to serve you better! Items may be requested from other libraries in the system, which further expands the variety of materials available to the public.
